Cherry Hills Village Mayor Doug Tisdale, 9News reporter Amelia Earhart and BJ Dyer, co-owner of Bouquets, are lacing up their dancing shoes in preparation for Colorado Ballet Auxiliary’s signature fundraiser, Balletto di Gala: Dancing With Our Stars.
The black-tie event is set for April 13 at the Ritz-Carlton Denver. Tickets can be purchased online.
Tisdale, Earhart and Dyer will be joined by five other civic leaders: Holly Baroway, senior vice president with Stifel Nicolaus & Co.; Kathy Konopka, president-elect of the Denver Ballet Guild; Terri Lombardi, an actress married to CBS4 sports anchor Vic Lombardi; Joe Maslowski, Colorado manager for Key Private Bank; and Scott Sax, a vice president with First Choice Bank.
In addition, Kevin Gael Thomas, a member of Colorado Ballet’s corps de ballet, is choreographing the event’s opening number that features the Denver Nuggets Dancers and last year’s champion, Kyle Keefe of Altitude Sports. Keefe will also serve as master of ceremonies.
The amateur dancers will be paired with pros from Colorado Ballet: Jesse Marks, Casey Dalton, Gregory K. Gonzales, Viacheslav Buchkovskiy, Luis Valdes, Lesley Allred, Cara Cooper and Chandra Kuydendall.
